Synagogue

2024 — Žatec — Czech Republic

The synagogue in Žatec, which is the second largest building of its kind in the Czech Republic, and the neighbouring rabbi’s house have been owned by Mr. Daniel Černý since 2013. In 2020, reconstruction of both properties began, supported by the EU’s Integrated Regional Operation Programme (IROP) and co-funded by the owner.

After many decades of not being used for their initial purpose, the synagogue and the rabbi’s house will become venues for exhibitions, concerts, theatre performances, lectures, etc. There is also a museum, whose permanent exhibition provides information regarding especially the history of the Jews in Žatec.

We have furnished these beautiful historical places with a hundred of our Trivi chairs.
